- Development of chitosan antimicrobial films and coatings

- Production, characterization, and applications of chitosan films and fibers

- Development of extraction procedures and characterization of chitosans from fungal biomass

- Application of ultrasound for enhanced extraction and modification of chitin and chitosan from shrimp waste

- Extraction and characterization of Lentinus edodes b-glucans
